Food Industry Pure Water System

Process flow:

Raw water → clear pool → raw water pump → multi-media filter → raw water tank → raw water pump (scale inhibitor)→5um precision filter → high pressure pump → reverse osmosis device → pure water tank → UV sterilization → water point

The food industry mainly includes four sub-industries: food processing industry, food manufacturing industry, beverage manufacturing industry and tobacco processing industry. Common industries that require the use of water treatment are: sugar industry in the food processing industry, food manufacturing and beverage manufacturing. Because the food processing industry has strict water requirements in recent years, and must meet a variety of standards, so food water treatment equipment needs to go through different processes for processing, and the material must also be made of food-grade stainless steel materials, so as to use water to reach the national standards.

Application of reverse osmosis equipment to make water in the food industry:

Reverse osmosis equipment pre-treats tap water or groundwater to remove particles, impurities, colloids, residual chlorine, etc., and then uses high-tech reverse osmosis membrane separation technology to remove bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in the water, as well as most of the heavy metal ions that are harmful to the human body, which can be directly used in winery mixing production water. And suitable for food, dairy products, all kinds of soft drinks: liquor, beer, wine and other processes of direct water.

With the increasing attention of the public to the food industry, the requirements of the state for the food industry are becoming more and more stringent, especially in the water quality requirements of food, dairy products, alcohol, beverages and other products, and the water preparation through reverse osmosis can ensure the taste and health of food. It can also reduce the process and process links in the preparation process, while saving energy and reducing costs.

Food quality common discoloration, fading, coloring, odor, odor, turbidity, precipitation, crystallization, corruption and other problems are mostly caused by water quality. However, the various impurities in the water are very different, the water quality is different, and the deterioration of the product is not the same. The impact of various impurities in the water on the finished product is probably reflected in the following aspects:

1. The two indicators of water chroma and turbidity are basic indicators of water quality inspection, and are also obvious indicators of sensory perception. If these two indicators exceed the standard, it can cause product precipitation, carbonation difficulty, easy to produce gushing and product color change.

2. The smell of water is a simple factor. Due to physical or chemical factors, a lot of water itself has a bad smell, which can easily affect the flavor of the finished product.

3. The hardness of water is a common and most concerned indicator of water, mainly referring to the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in water. Calcium and magnesium ions in the heating process will produce carbonate precipitation, high hardness will cause discoloration, turbidity, precipitation, flavor change, reduced water retention (meat), hardening (meat, soy products) and other problems.

4. The alkalinity of water is also a very important indicator. The alkalinity depends on the amount of OH-, CO32- and HCO3- that can bind to H+ in the water. Too high alkalinity will lead to fragrance decline, precipitation, not conducive to CO2 satiation, the amount of acid agent increased. In the fermentation process, the high alkalinity is not conducive to the growth of yeast.

5. In addition, the pH of water and phenols, free chlorine, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, organic matter, heavy metals and microorganisms in water may also affect food processing.

The pre-treatment unit of ultra-pure water equipment in the food industry is divided into four treatment stages:

The first stage is the quartz sand filtration stage, the material filtered by quartz sand is relatively rough, basically some large diameter particles and colloids and other substances.

The second stage of pretreatment is activated carbon treatment stage, according to the characteristics of activated carbon, the purpose of treatment is mainly to remove the odor and pigment in the water, at the same time, this stage also has the function of reducing the residual chlorine and toxic substances in the water.

The third stage is the process of softening the hard water, mainly using ion replacement resin and hard ions in the water to replace, these hard ions in the water can form a common scale in life, seriously affecting the use of the latter half of the accessories.

The fourth stage of pretreatment is to use the filter element to precisely filter the softened water, so that the final quality of the pre-treated water can meet the inlet standard of the core host unit.

With advanced reverse osmosis technology as the core process, combined with mechanical filtration, activated carbon adsorption, ozone/UV lamp and other related water treatment processes, remove heavy metals, chemicals, color, taste and other substances in the water quality, so that the final water quality meets the requirements of sterile, sweet, pure and other requirements, can provide customers with high-quality water resources, to meet the water requirements of the beverage and food industry.
